Pastor Chris Esteves - Committee Member

Dr. Esteves was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1961.  He came to California in 1963 and was raised in South Central Los Angeles throughout his childhood.  After graduating high school, Dr. Esteves went to the United States Air Force and later attended USAF Community College in Shepherds, Texas where he received an Associate of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He continued his education at the American Technical Institute and Devry University, receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering accompanied by a FCC License with Radar Endorsement.

 

Dr. Esteves began an accomplished career as a Bio-Medical Engineer, working for Phillips Medical Systems, the 8th largest conglomerate in the World.  Dr. Esteves received recognition and numerous awards for various designs and patents in the area of Cardio-Vascular Engineering, many of which are utilized today.

 

In November of 1984, the Lord called Dr. Esteves to the ministry.  Dr. Esteves began his ministerial education at Biola University.  He finished his ministerial education at Friends International University where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, a Masters Degree in Biblical Counseling, a Doctorate Degree in Biblical Studies and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies.

 

In 1990, Dr. Esteves founded Lifeway Church of Pomona.  In September of 1998, Dr. Esteves opened a second location in Rancho Cucamonga called Lifeway Church, later receiving leading and confirmation to release the Pomona location. In the spring of 2005, Lifeway Church built a new campus. As Senior Pastor of Lifeway Church, Dr. Esteves ministers two dynamic life-changing services every Sunday morning.

 

Dr. Chris Esteves and Joyce Esteves have been married 34 years and are the proud parents of 3 wonderful daughters: Christen, Jenae, and Ashlee.”
