Rev. Dr. Raymond W. Turner

Pastor Turner has been the Senior Pastor of Temple Missionary Baptist Church in San Bernardino, CA since January 1991. Pastor Turner has become known throughout the Inland Empire as a most respected community leader, and a pastor with a heart of compassion and for kingdom building.  

His civic and community service has earned him the Black Culture Foundation “Black Rose Award”, the N.A.A.C.P. “Pioneer Award” for outstanding community service, The San Bernardino County Association of African-American Employees “Ebony Visionary Award”, and numerous recognition from U.S. Congressmen, State Senators, Assemblymen, County Supervisors, Mayors, Chiefs of Police, and other City and County Officials.

His community involvement includes:
Co-founder and Past President of the Inland Empire Concerned African-American Churches (I.E.C.A.A.C.) an interdenominational faith-based organization consisting of African-American Churches throughout the Inland Empire, where he served in the area of economic development working to rehab foreclosed properties to help revitalize our community.

He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Community Christian College in Redlands, CA, Inland Empire representative for Clearing House CDFI Advisory Board, and past member of the South Coast AQMD Environmental Justice Advisory Board. 

Pastor Turner is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Education.  


He also attended Golden Gate Theological Seminary where he majored in Theology and holds a Masters of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry Degree from CSBR (The Center for the Study of Biblical Research), and an Honorary Doctor of Theology from Next Dimension University.

Pastor Turner has an extensive background in marriage, family, and crisis counseling, and is well known for the seminars and workshops he has presented to various churches, conferences, & groups, nationally and internationally.  

Pastor Turner married his wife, Cheryl, and the proud father of seven children; six daughters and one handsome son, Michael. 

His international ministry of teaching and preaching includes Israel, the Philippines, Western & American Samoa, Jamaica, Ghana, West Africa, and Zambia.
