Dr. John C. Martin - Key Champion

Dr. John C. Martin was elected the Lead Pastor of Victorville First Assembly in September 2006.  Prior to coming to Victorville, he served for 6.5 years as the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Assembly in Seattle, Washington.  Pastor John has also pastored in Coulee City, Washington, and served as the Executive Director of the Division of Church Ministries for the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. 

 

Dr. Martin earned his B.A. at Northwest University located in Kirkland, Washington, his Master of Religious Education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, and his Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.  Under Pastor John’s leadership at Victorville First Assembly, the church has expanded from one to six campus locations and offers services in four languages.  The church’s ministries have tripled in number and currently include the Feed My Sheep Food Bank, a School of Ministry, and Victor Valley Christian School, which is now in its 45th year. 

 

Dr. Martin serves on the Board of Trustees at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, teaches organizational leadership at a Brandman University, and enjoys both golf and tennis.  Pastor John was selected as citizen of the year in Coulee City, Washington in 1996. Pastor John and his wife, Ronda, have two children, Rachel and Joshua.
